Ksenia Yudaeva: G20 is launching transparency initiatives
While in Davos participating in the World Economic Forum, the Chief of the Presidential Experts' Directorate and the Russian G20 Sherpa Ksenia Yudaeva gave a commentary to the World Radio Switzerland.
Ms. Yudaeva mentioned that the G20 is now introducing transparency initiatives for different commodity markets. "Given the significance of the issue of transparency for financial world we find it an important step forward. During our presidency we will look into the ways to improve the initiatives, which already exist, and we may consider introducing similar initiatives in some other areas."
She also admitted an important role that Switzerland is to play in the G20, since it is one of the biggest players on the financial market and a home country for some important international institutions. "Having Switzerland on board at the G20 Financial Ministers' Meeting can provide proper conditions for the discussions. Switzerland really has expertise in many financial matters which is required in the G20," - Ms.Yudaeva said.
